Many of them, for the first time, have to buy industrial packaging systematically — not just “whatever cardboard is on hand.” The wrong packaging can become a point of failure during a customer audit. Here’s what to prepare on the packaging side. ## 1\. Consistent, documented specifications OEM customers demand consistency batch to batch. Your packaging needs fixed specifications (size, flute/thickness, marking) that can be repeated and documented — not something that changes with every order. ## 2\. Audit-ready quality documentation ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) from your packaging supplier is documentation you can pass up the chain.
