WePack 2023 Shanghai — Seeing the Machines Run, with ACCI
Joining the ACCI delegation to WePack & SinoCorrugated 2023 in Shanghai: three days across the packaging machinery halls, plus a visit to a local converter's plant.
In July 2023 we joined the ACCI delegation to Shanghai for WePack 2023 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, 12–14 July. What made this one relevant to us: SinoCorrugated and SinoPaper ran alongside it in the same building, so corrugated, folding carton, and digital printing machinery all sat under one roof.
Reading a machine’s catalogue and watching it run are two different things. You only learn how loud it is, how fast the changeover really goes, and how sensible the maintenance access is by standing in front of it.
Beyond the halls, the group was hosted for a plant tour at a local converter — visitor vests, marked walkways, their own production floor. Comparing how someone else lays out a line, in a country operating at a completely different scale, tends to generate more ideas than any brochure.
