Team Building 2023 — Knowing Yourself and the Team through LEGO Serious Play
A day in Ciawi with facilitators from Bravo Synergy: handwritten name tags, bricks served on dinner plates, and one shared model built on a round table.
3 December 2023, in Ciawi. A full day with facilitators from Bravo Synergy, under a title that sat on the screen from the morning onward: Knowing Yourself and the Team through LEGO® Serious Play®.
The method is simple, and that is exactly what makes it honest. Bricks were handed out on white dinner plates — not boxed sets, just plates. Everyone built something representing themselves, then explained it to the circle. People who normally stay quiet in meetings turned out to have plenty to say once the thing in their hand was an object rather than a microphone.
The last session merged all of it into one shared model on a round table, with a river line drawn straight onto the tabletop. Name tags were handwritten all day — Dandi, Lela, Gunawan, Nisa — and after that session the names on those bits of paper stuck around longer than usual.
It closed over dinner together, under rattan lanterns, with a Christmas tree already standing in the corner of the room.
