Our MOQ starts at 500 pcs. That’s the number for a single run of a custom carton box — built from scratch, sized and printed to match your part.

But if you’re shopping for a supplier, the real question in your head usually isn’t “what’s the minimum” — it’s: “I’m not ready to order a lot yet. I just want to see how it turns out first.” For that, the answer is different — and lighter than you’d expect.

500 pcs is for production, not for trying it out

The MOQ exists for a reason, and we won’t pretend it doesn’t. A custom box needs a cutting die sized to your part, machine setup, and changeover. Those costs stay the same whether you order 500 or 5,000 — so spread them across too small a quantity and the price per box gets expensive. 500 is the point where custom production still makes sense on price for you.

So if you genuinely need running stock for a line or regular shipments, 500 pcs and up is the right track.

Before you commit to any quantity, you can ask for one physical sample. We have a sample maker machine — so the sample box is made from the real material, at the real size, something you can hold, fill, close, and stack-test. Not a picture on a screen, not a mockup.

For us this matters: plenty of misunderstandings about inside vs. outside dimensions, or flute strength, only surface once the box is actually in hand. Cheaper to get it wrong on one sample than on 500 boxes.

A small order like 50 pcs? We won’t turn it down

This is where our digital printing machine comes in. Flexo printing needs a plate made first — and it’s that plate cost that makes small orders expensive at a lot of places. Digital uses no plate. That means a small order, say 50 pcs, is still something we can run without you carrying a heavy setup cost.

Let’s be honest: the price per box on a 50-pcs order is still higher than at 500 pcs and up — that’s just how it is, and we won’t tell you every order is the same. But “higher per box” is a long way from “can’t be done.” For a market test, a small launch, or an urgent need, this track is open.

So, which one fits you

Three tracks, three situations:

  • Just want to check the design and sizing → ask for 1 sample first. Hold it, then decide.
  • Need a small quantity for a market test or small launch → digital printing, small quantities like 50-odd pcs, no plate cost.
  • Already into regular production → start at 500 pcs; the more you order, the lower the price per box, because flexo wins on volume.

Many of our customers start with a sample, move to a small order to try it, then step up to regular production once they’re confident. You don’t have to go big right away.

What we need to work out a price

So we can give you a number, not a guess, have these ready:

  • Box dimensions (length × width × height)
  • Roughly how many you need
  • How many print colors, or plain
  • Whether you need a sample first or not
